Dear Parent or Guardian,
We will be starting sewing in Home
Economics on October 24 and the students are required to supply their own
fabric or purchase a sewing kit from the school. Kits are $15 and the students
will get a choice of fabric which is suitable for their project. If you would
prefer to go out and purchase your own fabric, the following supplies are
needed:
GRADE 6 & 7 SEWING: QUILLOW PROJECT
1.5 metre printed fabric – 115 cm wide (1.2 m-150cm
wide)
1.2 metre plain fabric – 115 cm wide (1.2 m – 150
cm wide)
1 metre quilt batting
Examples of suitable fabrics include broadcloth, cotton, flannelette,
chambray or other woven fabrics. Please do not purchase satin or shiny fabric,
as it is difficult for new sewers to work with.
GRADE 8 SEWING:
BOXER SHORTS OR PYJAMA PANTS
1. Boxer shorts

2. Pajama Pants
